I like the pears pure and gentle soap by hindustan unilever for its woody note.

A month or 3 weeks ago I saw pears pure and gentle shower gel, I thought WoW and bought it.

Only to know that its on fruity note! Sheer disappointment. I felt these guys gave the same name, same shape as the soap and same color but changed the note! Then I saw the customer care email printed on the bottle and sent expressed my disappointment. To my surprise they have sent me a set of of soaps equivalent to the cost of the gel and tool the gel back!

But yet there would be so many unsuspected buyers who would be thinking that its exactly same as the soap and get disappointed.

Recently I wanted to buy a face wash gel and I saw this pears pure and gentle face wash, and didnt buy it and chose a different one!

What a ride?

09:00AM Settling hotel bill, everything packed just waiting for the cab

10:00AM Cab arrives, leaving hotel, sleeping on the way, it was raining.. cool

11:10AM Reached airport, checked in luggage

11:30AM Picked club grilled chicken burger and waiting in the gate

02:40PM Boarding announcement comes for 3:05 flight, they were boarding elders and passengers with kids. So couple of old women were taken inside in wheel chairs

02:45PM The two old women is came back and the announcement came, "due to weather we will leave by 4:30", every one murmurs and back to their seat

04:30PM No signs of boarding announcement, but the old women are taken again...only to come back in couple of minutes

04:35PM comes the announcement that we will leave only by 7:00PM... now passengers with connecting flights are asked to rebook their tickets for tomorrow as they will not be able to make it to the connecting flights.

05:00PM Got my tickets booked for 26th, but was wondering, if due to weather condition if this flight is delayed the other flight to bombay should also be delayed??

07:00PM Announcement comes that the flight will leave only by 8:00PM.

07:30PM Another club grilled chicken...

Wondering what to do now.. the airport will get closed in couple of hours and the airlines doesn't provide any accommodation. Imm started calling the hotels one by one, every where I hear, we are sold out...after 45 minutes of try... decided that I'm not going to get any hotel... Then called some friend in Greensburg thats about 1 hour drive. He said ok come down. then picked a taxi to Greensburg. One the way the cab driver told me that some football match is going on so all the hotels are expected to full.. I was wondering how come even the low grade motels are full.... My calculation was if I have to go to greensburg, I would have to spend about 150$ and returning 150$, instead I will stay in a good hotel here. But nothing nothing was available.

Well spent the money on the taxi was good, I could get good sleep... else would have stranded outside the airport...

On a rainy lazy Saturday evening, called the Dominoz pizza and ordered for couple of veg special pizzas. The order taking guy asked me where I'm living. When I said I'm living in Warje, he said that there is no time guarantee. Fine take my order. After an hour the pizza didnt reach me, got annoyed and called them again, a lady picked and said sir the delivery guy should be reaching you any moment. Its hardly 15 minutes from Kothrud to Warje, still these guys take their time! Well after 1 hour 15 minutes the delivery guy came and when I gave him the sodexho passes, he said we dont take these anymore! What the heck? Whats wrong with these? Then I paid cash. So Dominoz doesnt take sodexho!

In general my experience with Dominoz was never good. They were always shrewd, the treated the customers with I'm the boss attitude. Not because they didnt take the passes, I had been to five different outlets of Dominoz, four in Bangalore and one in Baner, Pune. The attitude of the crew was invariant. May be there are trained to be so?

Warje, Pune area is served only by Dominoz and Smoking Joes. I called the Joes couple of times and tried different chicken toppings couple of times. The chicken is yuck, they are not the tender ones to chew. Then they dont have chicken wings in their menu! Until pizza hut or us pizza serves this area...........

Things doesn't in the way because some one has studied Tamil as their major! There are so many who couldn't get cross elementary school. I remember, I met a kid around the age of 14 to 15 in the Bangalore to Salem passenger train, who did his schooling only up to 3rd class, can read Tamil, he breaks stone in quarry for last 6 years.

There used to be the ant and grasshopper story. In the summer ant's will collect all the necessary food and preserve it for winter. The happy grasshopper will enjoy all the summer and painfully die in the winter, since not having food.

This movie supports the grasshopper and says that stop ants from saving. A wrong message!

Recently this what proposed by our FM!
If you pay tax, then you will have a PAN card, if you have PAN card you don't get subsidized LPG you pay 500RS for a 14 KG cylinder. You don't pay tax, you will not have PAN card, you don't have PAN card you get the same LPG at 300RS. You get punished because you pay tax. Shouldn't be the other way?

Ten rupee note!

I just got up, when the Mysore Tuticorin express train 6732 entered inside Dindigul station. It was 6:20AM in the morning. In my earlier trips, I used to get up kilometers away from station and wait, and it was never a good sleep. May be I’m getting used to sleep in train, these days I’m getting good sleep.

GRRR.. Here comes the ticket checker again when you get out of the station. Why while getting out of the station? Already a TT comes personally to you to verify your ticket and then to confirm whether you are the one who has bought the ticket. GRRRRRRRRRR… even the TT in the train didn’t verify my ticket with my ID card that I have given while booking the e-ticket, this guy did it! I appreciate him. And the TT in the station takes the ticket back and doesn’t give it back! I’ve asked my ticket back. He said the ticket doesn’t come back to you. What?? I could understand that he was having a bunch of tickets in his hand. What he will do with the tickets? May be he will prove that how important his role is for the railways?

Got in to an auto in which 3 people were there already to go to the bus station. The advantage is the auto driver charges only 10RS each. I save 20RS. To go the bus station in a shortest possible distance, risking all the lives, he drove the auto in the wrong side for the major part. Can’t I resist him?

Got in to a state Transport Corporation bus which ply’s between Dindigul and Palani, around 6:45AM. There were very few passengers in the bus. The bus was not cleaned at all, may be it’s the first trip for the day, normally they are kept clean. There were full of sand, strewn orange skins and peanut skins. The conductor started selling tickets. When he came to me I gave him two 10RS for a 17RS fare ticket. By looking at one of the notes he asked me give me a different note, this is torn! It was just torn for an mm in the middle of the note! Come on it does go.

(No this is not that note, what a bad habit to write on the note!)

Me: Come on where I could have got it?, it does go!
Conductor: You return it back from where you would have got it!

OK! I had few more 10RS notes, which I could have given it to him. But for a moment I thought what if this is the only 20RS I had?

Me: What would you do if these are the only notes that I have?
Conductor: Then you would have to get down!
Me: Ok, I will get down in the next bus stop give me my money!

I got down in the next bus stop. And I heard the conductor yelling, he had so many notes why can’t he give another ones?

I was waiting in the bus stop for another 10 minutes, and then came the next bus to Palani. It was a private bus, and it was fairly full. The driver was driving the bus normal; unlike they always drive it rudely. This conductor accepted the same note with out any problem! You have to bear with the latest movies they play which didn’t even run for a week in a C sector!

Then again I got a thought, what if that was the last bus for the day! What I would have done? What I could have done?

Wondering how complex the simple things become in life. How many would be traveling in the bus in which that conductor is serving? For sure he would never face this problem, since he never has to buy a ticket, advantage of working in state Transport Corporation! Can the same be applicable to those who work in airlines? Never! They are unique! Those who work in cement factory doesn’t get cement for free and for those who works in a refinery doesn’t get fuel free!

I've subscribed to reliance 1GB data plan @ 650/Month. The USB modem costs 2850 and I got it for free by paying the advance rental for 12 months (9085RS was the total cost). This is a limited offer for the first 50000 subscribers. So what would happen after 50K subscribers? Again there will be an much better offer! In fact I was about to subscribe to a connection by paying 4K for the modem in which 2 month rental wavier was offered. Then I thought its not by plan yet. Last Monday I've received an SMS stating this offer. I've visited the local "web world express" in Pollachi, which is a franchise of reliance mobile. With my Bangalore "web world" experience I thought I would not get any fruit full information. To my surprise, those guys were very much customer oriented. I got the device and activation on the same day!

The guy who was attending me was promising me that he will get the device and will get it activated on the same day and he lived up to his promise! I was there in their outlet till 8:00PM and he couldn't do it because the server was slow. He said you please carry on and after activation only I will go home! I got a call from him by 10:30PM and said its been activated!

What is the advantage of data plan compared to hourly plan?

No matter how many hours you were online, what counts is how much data you used to communicate! You can be online for hours together, without worrying about hours getting exhausted. Especially when there is slow connection data plan will be the best to choose compared to the hourly plan.

TATA Indicom also has a similar plans, just before this Reliance offer they were the best!

Note: In the evenings between 6pm to 9pm the connection is dead slow! Sometimes not even connect!

The device cost getting reduced is the sign of getting phased out soon. I think soon there will be PC Express cards replacing the PC cards and so on.

I've booked a ticket from Bangalore to Coimbatore in KSRTC for 15th June 6:30PM bus, on 11th June online in KRSTC.in. By 3:30PM on 15th Friday I've left the office and picked my baggage from home and walked to the nearest bus stand and got in a bus which was going to Shivaji Nagar. Since I had booked the ticket in KSRTC I can travel in any BMTC bus to reach Kempegowda Bus Station I don't have to buy a ticket, conductor verified the ticket and every thing was OK. I got down in Ulsoor to catch another bus which will take me to KGBS. After few minutes trouble I got in to 315L which goes to KGBS. Here also the conductor verified my ticket and I didn't have to buy a ticket. Reached KGBS at 5:00PM since I was 1hr 30 mins earlier, I started looking around whats happening... there were Arrow shirts, FM radios, some of the international designer brand watches and sun glass for RS75 and so on... I was wondering how cheap the branded items are here....

The bus came around 6:00PM to platform no 7. And I got inside the bus and sat in my seat number 22 (window seat). Then came our hero, with a ticket for same 22W seat... He was bit rude and said that this is my seat. He as having a orange color ticket which he would have bought it in any ksrtc booking counter and claimed that my online ticket is fake! Then came one guy to verify my ticket and tell me that the ticket has been actually booked for 11th June 6:30PM bus........ GRRRRRRRRRRRRR NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... was bit nervous for few minutes wondering what to do now... mean time our hero was ready to pick up an argument with me... and I just ignored him. Then came the conductor, I asked him does he has any extra ticket. He took RS300 and gave me a ticket for window seat 6 and also said don't ask me change! That's fine with me if he would have said no tickets are there probably I would have to cancel my entire trip! Seat no 6 should be far better than seat 22. A good thing in my stupidity. How this could have happened? I just have no idea, I used to the super conscious around my friends.. mistakes do happen... probably I would keep doing this mistake often, since it doesn't hurt me to do so!

After the bus started moving I was wondering how did I miss to check the date of journey? And having this out of date ticket I have travelled in two BMTC bus also! And those conductors "verified" the ticket! Probably if they would have found it on the way, I would have returned back home thinking there will be no ticket for me! Good that they didn't notice the date!! How so many people could miss that "date of journey" aspect?

Until the bus reached Mysore the seat no 6 would not have made any different, the was moving like sliding on butter! Superb road! From Mysore to Coimbatore until the road touches Tamilnadu border, road is in pathetic condition. And why do they put so many road bumps? you just cant sleep! Adding to the poor roads, from Mysore two mallu chatter box sat behind my seat and kept chatting until 12:00AM. At times at high volume... The bus started climbing a hill for few minutes and then started climbing down around 1:15AM. The view from the hills was spectacular... the land side light was glittering. This is the first time I'm travelling in this route to Coimbatore! And the trip was OK, I should say good, especially when I've made a stupid mistake.

1013 KURLA Express

1013 is the train number of which runs between Kurla and Coimbatore. Its been called with different names, Kurla Express/Bangalore Express/Lokamania Thilak Express. As per the schedule of the train it should leave Bangalore by 9:20 and reach Coimbatore by early Morning 6:00 AM. Recently I had to travelled to Combatore on this train for two consecutive weeks. This is the train in which you would never want to travel! Since it comes from a Kurla, Maharastra, by the time the train reaches Bangalore, its "yuk". It needs a complete acid cleaning! Never mind there will be no water in the train! It always runs by 3 to 4 hours delay, may be its time for Indian Railways to change the timing as it regularly runs.

On the holy day, I rush from Mahadevpura by 7:30PM to catch this train in a auto. That auto guy demands me 150RS, fearing missing the train, I agree to pay. And I reach the station by 8:45, only to listen that the train will reach the station only by 11:30PM instead of 9:20PM. Grrrrrrr, ok lets wait. The train comes by 11:30 and I board the train only to see some one else have occupied by reserved seat. I wake him up and ask him vacate, he looks at me as if I'm his lifetime rivalry! And he checks my ticket as if he is the tt.... well finally he vacated the seat. Peacefully laid there and slept. Suddenly I woke up around 1:ooAM, and looked around to that the train is standing just few KMs away from the station. Grrrrrrr, and slept again. And the tt wakes me up around 2:00AM to check my ticket....

In this 1013 train you will always get tickets for Bangalore to Coimbatore. Don't get carried away you will not make your trip on time! Try "Kanyakumari express"....

KPN Travels

Last Friday I got to travel with this KPN since I had no other choice other than traveling with them to Palani. Well, I started hating them from the start at their boarding station at Bommannahalli in Bangalore:

When there are at least 200 people gather, they don't have restroom facility... I asked the manager there where is the bathroom, go to top! Top is nothing but an open terrace... (well, I had no other option other than doing it there...)
Bus reached Dindigul outskirts around 6:00 AM to drop some of the parcels those are loaded. Mean time the driver noticed that one of the rear tire got puncher. The cleaner started to replace the tire. It's about a kilometer to Dindigul town, from where the bus is standing. There were so many passengers in the bus to go to Dindigul. The driver never informed that its going to taken an hour to any one. Mean time one guy went and asked how much time its going to take, then the driver said its going to taken an hour those who are to Dindigul please find your own way to go there!! Well its well after an hour he figured out there is a puncture...
Got down the bus and found there were many parcels stranded on the road. And I saw one bag filled with black stuff is torn and the stuff inside is spilled out on the road... I pity the guy who would have sent it. Then I saw another automobile assembly, which is again dismantled and spilled all around...

Never send anything by KPN Parcel service, prefer TCIL, ABT or TVS parcels services! Try to avoid traveling in "KPN travels" prefer ABT travels.

This bus route was part of my life for almost 10 years. When we shifted to the Sugar Mill quarterss, our only mode of direct communication to the near by village Madathukulam was this bus. Otherwise we had to walk for around 2KMS to reach the near by high way 209 and wait for the other local bus. This route is made only because of the "sugar mill", since there is no way that employees, carts and trucs can commute to the mill. If the timing of the bus is around 7:30 AM it would be just fine to start waking around 7:45 AM to catch this bus at 8:00 AM! Timing of this bus is just at the mercey of the driver! You cant catch up with this bus!!

KPN Travels, not the one to travel!

I don't want to put the nice bad words that I would give for the KPN. Sometimes I feel, is this travels is operated by some goons (they way the driver and cleaner behaves)? I frequently travel to PALANI. If one has to reach anywhere in between Coimbatore to Dindigul via Pollachi, Udumalpet, Palani and Oodanchatram, well they are all left out with only one choice KPN!! No direct train, no other direct service government service or private service.

Points that I would note:

Exactly in between 2 to 3 am the bus stops at Salem petrol pump to fuel the bus, at the same time some guys jump to the top of the bus to load and unload parcels. Sometimes I feel this service is for public or for parcel? Then on my sleep is lost, after that every 45 minutes or so the bus stops at several stations, and same loading and unloading routine happens.

Then goes and parks the bus in the side lane of Dindigul bus stand, which is the urinal lane. Even I'm sleeping, suddenly feel the catastrophic bad smell and jump out of the bus until it moves!

They lack the minimum common sense in operating a service. They have to understand that a parcel service cant be run from a 10X10 size rooms. Keeping all the parcels on the road blocking whole traffic. And the pity is how some ones valuable parcel is left on the road until its loaded in the bus.

They have no value for their customer, for their life (at the mercy of driver, several times watched the driver standing up and driving while overtaking when there are speeding vehicles opposite side) and for the customers properties!

These days I'm avoiding KPN as much as possible, by going by train.
